How was your two-minute drill?

Today, July 1, we kicked off for the second half of 2008. I hope you elected to receive and are marching down the field on offense.

So how'd you end up the first half? Were you able to put points on the board to go into halftime? Did you stick to your game plan or did you have to call a lot of audibles?

How was your two-minute drill? I love watching the last two minutes of each half in football.

Invariably a team - or sometimes even both teams - who were seemingly unable to score anything at all or maybe just a field goal - can score one or more times in the closing ticks of the clock.

Why is that you ask? Focus. They know what to do the entire game to score. It just isn't implemented as urgently as it is in the final minute or two of play in each half.

It's the same with sales. We need to focus. Keep your hands firmly around the ball and your eyes on the goal.
