Beginning next week in Orlando, the Walmart Neighborhood Grocery stores will begin selling Florida Lottery tickets.
This is a pilot program that will extend to a total of 27 stores in central and southern Florida.
The Superstores are not participating - yet.
Target, Walgreen's, CVS, and similar stores have always rejected attempts by the Lottery to become retail outlets.
The Lottery Commission considers this a win for them. We'll have to see how Walmart feels. The public should be happy.
