Governor Rick Scott is starting strong on his promise to get Florida back on track financially and to aid in business formationa and relocation. He vows to make Florida the number one state for businesses.
Last week he put the state owned airplanes up for sale.
Now, he has issued an Executive Order that freezes all new regulations and establishes the Office of Fiscal Accountability and Regulatory Reform, This office will review all rules prior to going into effect and will also look at state agency practices and contracts. It immediately suspends rulemaking for all agencies under the direction of the Governor and imposes 90-day suspension on execution of any contracts with a value in excess of $1 million without the Governor's approval.
The Governor is setting a good posture for holding the line on regulation and creating a favorable business climate in the state.
