I posted earlier about select Burger King and Starbuck's restaurants that are now serving beer and wine. Now a new dimension.
Beginning later this summer, Sonic restaurants in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale - one in each location - will offer patrons 25 brands of beer and 10 varieties of wine. Remember that Sonic is only a drive-in with no inside seating. They say they are only going to serve people who walk inside to place their order or sit at one of the outside tables. They do not intend to serve people alcohol while in their cars, but I don't see how they can keep people from leaving with the drinks once they purchase them.
Is fast food really that competitive that they have to sell alcohol to attract new business?
