You know those expiration dates on food stuffs we buy at the grocery store? Mixes, food bars, sports drinks, canned vegetables, and the like? Well many of them likely have at 2010 expiration date on them - which until yesterday might have seemed a long way off. Now 2010 is here. The expiration date may be a whole lot closer than we think. Of course, anything with a "200_" date on it is history.
Same goes for all those coupons we've been saving. Many may already be expired - especially the 12/31/09 ones.
It's time to look a little more carefully at the dates on items.
