Many people refer to Wednesday as "humpday" because it comes in the middle of the workweek and once it's over, the weekend is almost here.
In the same vein, why not consider today (Friday) as "mirror day" because it does 2 things that mirrors do:
(1) it allows us to reflect on what we've done so far this week to determine what was good, what still needs to be done, what we can learn from what happened, and where we had shortcomings. We can see what went right and what didn't, what took more time than we planned, what consumed time unnecessarily, what we need to schedule for the future, and opportunities that maybe we weren't prepared for.
Reflection or evaluation is a great and necessary business concept as long as we don't live there. Do it and move on.
(2) it lets us look back to see where we've been and if we overlooked anything important. We can't see where we're headed if we're constantly looking in the mirror, but a brief look at least once a week should be OK.
It probably won't catch on, but happy "mirror day" anyway.
