Look what the wind has blown in now. Harry Reid and some of his high-powered Senate friends are set to give - that's right give - $450 million of taxpayer money to China - as if China needs anymore of our money.
The Chineses government isn't the recipient of the money, but that's a minor detail. A Chinese firm is being paid by the Senate (you and me actually) to build and run a windfarm in Texas, and all of the turbines to power the windmills are going to built in China also.
This deal really smells, and I'm sure we can find a better use of nearly and half-billion dollars of our money.
Even if we wanted a half-billion dollar windfarm in Texas, you mean to tell me that no American entrepreneur can do this?
It's too bad Reid won his re-election bid if this is what we have to look forward to for the next 2 years until Reid is replaced by a Republican leader.
