Something Else Historic This Weekend

President Obama has proclaimed that we are going to see somthing historic happen this weekend. Of course, he's referring to passage of his health care bill - far from assured.

Two events that already have happened that are in themselves historic

1 - Slaughter Solution was defeated in committee after much debate. In the final analysis they just couldn't be this dishonest with the American people. So there will be a real vote - maybe. Not sure the votes are there for passage and not sure there will be a vote otherwise.

2- The Rasmussen daily "Presidential Tracking Poll" shows Obama at an historic low - 44% of American strongly disapprove of his performance. This is the most ever by a President. When George Bush left office, his was at 43%. Thus Obama has done in 14 months what Bush never accomplished in 8 years. Everytime Obama stumps for health care, his numbers go down.
