Just got another call from a Beaverton, Oregon phone number - (503) 707-0303 to be exact. They hung up as soon as I answered and when I called it back the call was terminated by them before it even rang.
I decided to look up the number on Google to see if this was someone I might know. This number is all over the search engine - and all the comments are the same. Sometimes the company calls and leaves a message - then when you listen to your message it autoimatically calls them back. Sometimes, they get abusive and push very hard for a sale - more than once on a call. They don't take return calls. Mostly they just call and hang up.
It seems that many Realtors have been getting calls - maybe because we are visivble - maybe becausewe are on sites like Active Rain.
The company appears to be called World Wide Media Group from online reports discussing this issue. They seem to be seeling ads for Google or lead generation services - the reports vary.
They just seem to call cell phones and hang up - from the experiences reported. They ignore the Do Not Call lists..
I don't know how they are successful based on all of the upset people and their pattern of conduct. Nevertheless, they give all of us who use the telephone for marketing and follow-up - and particularly Realtors - a bad name.
If you see this number on your phone display, don't answer it!!
