How many of us feel that are athletic coaches (I'm a sales and business coach) who have an occasional off day or look like they should be doing something else? Everyone's entitled to a bad day - but coaches only have a few opportunities each season to do well, and when they don't it shows. Often it's obvious to us watching on TV or in the stands that some of the bonehead calls that are made should never be attempted or that there's a time for being bold and a time for being sensible.
I'm not saying I would trade places with any of them, but the fan is the real customer and sometimes you have to wonder if that is even considered.
It's no wonder games are lost - not because of lack of talent - but because of poor execution or poor play selection - of both. There's nothing worse than a terrible play that is muffed as well.
Maybe if coaches were fined or charged back - kind of like a lost sale?
