Retail One-Upsmanship

Every year stores are looking for a way to capitalize on the Black Friday retail buying experience. Over the past couple of years stores have been moving up their "doorbuster" opening time from 6:00 or 7:00 am to 4:00 or 5:00 - or even 3:00.

Not to be outdone, Macy's will now open at midnight Thanksgiving night/Black Friday morning and remain open for 23 hours.

Even better than that, many stores will be featuring online Black Friday spoecials all week leading up top Black Friday. Expect a few stores to be open on Thanksgiving Day itself.

For That Hard-To-Buy-For Person

For that person on your shopping list who already has everything or for someone that you just don't knopw what to get, here is the solution - or an idea anyway.

If you happen to be close to Boca Raton, Florida and the Town Center Mall on Glades Road, you can now purchase gold from an ATM-style machine - "Gold To Go." Just put in your cash or credit card a nd select the style and amount of gold you would like. It's repriced to market value every 10-minutes and includes a 5% markup. You can get coins or bars - from a gram to an ounce or more.

It is dispensed in a sealed box with cartification paperwork.

The machine holds about 320 different types of product. Needless to say it comes with an armed guaard and numerous security cameras.

The owner of "Gold To Go" plans on putting one in Las Vegas soon as well.
