Maybe you’ve heard that expression about that which doesn’t kill us makes us stronger. Well, it doesn’t have to a life-threatening experience – just a stiff breeze, strong rain, one of life’s challenges. Anything to shake us up, challenge us, bend us but not to the point of braking.
It can be financial challenges, difficult customers, cancellations, a deal that almost was that got away, a commission that we had big plans for that never materialized, personnel matters, disagreements, issues with the car or home, family or health issues - there's a lot that can challenge us.
It's been said that such matters are character building - and we all want to develop strong character. So, I guess we have to accept what comes our way. We don't have to like it, but we should welcome it as a means to making us stronger once we've worked through it or adapted to managing it.
