This is the best day to start (or grow) your sales business

In her post earlier today, Loreena Yeo discusses the off-handed comment she received about "Time To Flourish Is Not Now". This inspired what I have to offer here. Thanks, Loreena.

Today is absolutlely the best time to start a real estate sales business - and if you're already in business, to grow it.

Why? Because all those who didn't know what they were doing and who messed it up for the public and everyone else are gone. That means less competition - and those who remain won't hurt you. We are down now to a core of people who really want to do this business.

There is soon (not tomorrow, but soon) going to be a glut of properties to be listed. There are investors coming back who are interested in getting the remaining deals. Prices are stabilizing to even inching up in some markets. Sellers are beginning to get the message that they can no longer be greedy if they really are interested in selling.

What about lenders? You've got to look, but they're out there.

Expensive advertising and marketing won't work right now, so learn how to do it inexpensively and grow that habit. Late you can be very frugal and effective at the same time.

The market is tailor-made for the go-getter. If that's you, then learn some good lead generation habits also.

Even if you make a few "growing pains" mistakes, the market is forgiving right now. This is a great time to get started - or to re-energize.
