John Boehner today announced the "American Energy Initiative" and pledged to offer more fuel in the US to drive down gasoline prices.
He proposes to make more domestic gasoline available, get the rigs going for oil exploration, thwart the EPA's plan to enact cap and trade (especially since this is an unconstitutional use of legislative authority), get Americans back to work in these endeavors, and fast-track development of nuclear and other forms of energy.
This is in stark contrast to the intent of the White House but what this country needs.
Let's hope that they can pull this off and get it done. Obama and Harry Reid are sure to oppose it at every turn.
