Steve Hoffacker's Sales Quips

As of today, Election Day is 34 weeks away - 237 days.

The Republicans are starting to show some spirit in rejecting the Dems' posturing and gameplaying, but it likley is too late to stop the machine. Some deserve to stay on, some don't.

All 435 seats in the House are up for election and 36 seats in the Senate, and we've already seen some announcements of resignations and retirement. This makes our job easier because we are assure of some new faces in the Congress.

Many of those currently serving have violated the public trust and their oath of office by ignoring the will of the people and the Constitution. Those people need to be serving their final weeks in the Congress.

It would be great to have a clean slate, but that is impractical. For one thing, two-thirds of the Senate will continue on. For another, some are going to be returned to office no matter what. That still doesn't keep us from advancing the notion that we are tired of business as usual and if we had the power we would start over with 535 new faces.

Many of us for months have been advocating a complete turnover in the membership of the House and Senate - to let people uncorrupted by the ways of Washington government have a chance at serving - regardless of political party. On November 2 - 241 days from now - we will elect 435 members to the House and 36 to the Senate. A couple of faces in both bodies already are new.

Today we learn that yet another seat will be filled by someone new. NY Congressman Eric Massa stepped down, effective Monday. He already had said he would not run again, but now we know there'll be someone new in his seat - maybe someone now and another someone in November.

On April 13th, the 19th District in Florida (mine) is electing someone new. In November, it will repeated.

We have so many opportunities to get better representation that we've had in a long time. Let's vote them out and usher in a new Congress.

Today is Tuesday, March 2nd - exactly 35 weeks until Tuesday, November 2nd.

Let's remember Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Charlie Rangel, Barney Frank, and all of the others that need to be retired from office.

All 435 seats in the House are up for election and 36 seats in the Senate.

We have to act to retain our country and bring it back from the brink.

November 2nd is now only 36 weeks away - and counting. With health care and massive spending - and Andy Stern being instrumental in a deficit reduction commission - I hope we can hold on until then.

The CPAC was a very bright spot in this past week. It has fanned the flames of the spirit of change.

If we need to repeal health care after it passes, we can do that, but let's stop it now. It's easier this way.

Keep up the count. Next week will be 35.

Replace House and Senate members who don't get it - this means nearly all of them.

With November 2nd now just 37 weeks away - and counting - we notice another political casualty - Evan Bayh of Indiana. Add him to Chris Dodd (D-CT), Byron Dorgan (D-ND), Roland Burris (D-IL), and Ted Kaufman (D-DE) plus George Lemieux (R-FL), Sam Brownback (R-KS), Jim Bunning (R-KY), Kit Bond (R-MO), Judd Gregg (R-NH), and George Voinovich (R-OH) who have announced their intent not to run again.

We definitely are going to be seeing some new faces in the Congress. We still to replace nearly everyone in the House.

Fortunately, many incumbents are trailing in the polls.

This is the only chnace we have America to take our country back. By 2012 it may well be too late.

Now we are at 38 weeks and counting until Election Day - November 2, 2010. With John Murtha's passing, we know there will be one more change for sure in the lineup of the Congress.  Some incumbents are trailing in the polls. Ed Lynch won the Republican nomination in Florida's District 19 last week.

All 435 seats in the House plus 36 seats in the Senate are up for grabs.

It's time for a big change - back to our core values. I think we can believe in that!

We're out of the 40s, and now just 39 weeks remain until Election Day - November 2, 2010. This election is more important than it has been in recent memory. We need to halt or reverse the agressive legistaltion that is being debated and passed.

The President's budget is nothing but a recipe for bankrupty. Nancy Pelosi says she will pass Health Care no matter what she has to do - and over the objections of two-thirds of the American people.

All 435 seats in the House plus 36 seats in the Senate are up for grabs.

It's time for a big change - back to our core values.

Today here in South Florida, we are anticipating a primary win by Ed Lynch in the 19th District of Florida. Then on to the general election in April. This is one of the 435 seats that will make a difference in the right direction.

The countdown continues - now with a little more interest and momentum since last week's victory by Scott Brown.

Add to this, the win we are anticipating by Ed Lynch next Tuesday in the 19th District of Florida.

We now have just 40 weeks until Tuesday, November 2 - election day.

Make sure to mark it on your calendar. There will continue to be weekly reminders.

Keep the pressure up on replacing everyone who has voted for the health care bill, cap and trade, stimulus, omnibus, TARP, cash for clunkers, earmarks, and pork.

Go back one week to the day before the Massachusetts election. The collective mood seemed hopeful, anxious, and angry. Then the election came and the mood changed to jubilation and celebration. The darkness was not so dark.

It's funny, but with that single event, the anger seemed to subside, and the despair over the direction of the country seemed to ebb.

I've hardly heard mention of health care, Harry Reid, or Nancy Pelosi since last Thursday.

I am hopeful that people running for office are going to reflect the need for being responsive to the American will and for returning to the core values of America. This is a great first step. Next Tuesday, February 2, those of us in South Florida in District 19 will get to take another when we elect Ed Lynch to Congress.

All 435 seats in the House plus 36 seats in the Senate are up for grabs. - 35 after today's Massachusetts vote.

Everyone who has voted for the health care bill, cap and trade, stimulus, omnibus, TARP, cash for clunkers, earmarks, and pork should be targeted for removal from office. Let someone else have a turn.

Let's vote out all of the Dinosaurs (Dems) and Relics (Repubs).

It would be nice to see a positive change after today's election.
